Victoria’s largest and newest cattle selling facility opened its gates to livestock in February with a combined agent store sale.
The new Northern Victoria Livestock Exchange (NVLX) provides Victoria and southern New South Wales producers with access to the most modern and efficient livestock selling facility in Australia. It represents a private investment of more than $20 million in the livestock industry in Wodonga and heralds the dawn of a new era in livestock marketing in the region.
The NVLX facility is set on 105 hectares with the total area covering 28,271 square metres and includes approximately 4.5 acres of undercover roofing, which harvests fresh water for livestock consumption, plus track and yard wash down. The facility is located on the Murray Valley Hwy, Barnawartha North near Logic.
Logic is the city’s large scale industrial estate strategically located on Australia’s premium freight corridor, and is ideally located for food manufacturing businesses, which are a forecast growth sector for the future.
